Kelly Vail (previously Ballard), DVM

Dr. Vail is a mother of 2 daughters (plus 5 step-children), 4 dogs, 3 cats, a guinea pig, and a horse. She grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Kansas State University in 2000. Her first veterinary job landed her in Hope Mills, North Carolina, where she practiced small animal medicine and surgery (and some equine) for 3 years. After moving to the Tri-Cities, she practiced small animal medicine and surgery at Appalachian Animal Hospital in Piney Flats for 11 years and also worked part time at the Animal Emergency and Pet Care Clinic in Boone, North Carolina. Now she is the proud owner of Blue Ridge Animal Hospital in Johnson City, TN.
